The Tyler Rose Garden has thousands of roses blooming in a kaleidoscope of colors. The Texas Rose Festival is held the third weekend of October each year and offers enchanting ceremonial events. By 1960, blooming azaleas attracted the Chamber of Commerce to establish a marked route featuring about 60 homes on a five-mile route. As of 2004, the Azalea Trail stretches eight miles and attracts over 100,000 visitors to Tyler.

Tyler’s historic downtown district boasts a vibrant shopping and dining scene. Andy’s Frozen Custard, Black Pearl, Café 1948, and more provide a unique experience.
